The Fundamentals 2026

We look forward to meeting you at this comprehensive course that forms the foundation of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.

The 2026 Fundamentals is booked for July 17th - 19th at Kensington Town Hall, Kensington, (Melbourne) Australia. You will be given access to complete the online component four weeks prior to the commencement of the course.

Internationally recognised cranial course

Our course is internationally recognised for teaching Dr Sutherland's Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.

High tutor to student ratio and better learning outcomes

Our in person learning has a high tutor to student ratio, with one tutor to four students. This enables us to tailor your learning to your capabilities and strengths.

Pre and post course online learning modules

The face-to-face component is supported with online learning modules. These modules can be accessed for up to two months after completing the course.

What you’ll learn:

applied anatomy and physiological motion axis’ of each of the cranial and facial bones.
understand the CSF system, ventricular purpose and position, and CSF flow and function.
learn about meninges, layers, sutures and the blood brain barrier.
learn to sense and palpate the Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM) in the cranium and sacrum via the core link.
Understand the 5 phenomena of the Primary Respiratory mechanism, and develop the palpation skills to identify them.
Utilise the various techniques within Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF) to provide healing assistance to your patients.
Learn common clinical strain patterns within the PRM, how to diagnose them and best of all how to TREAT them.
HEAPS of practical time ( approx 5 hours each day) with one experienced faculty helping four participants. All to best support your individual learning goals.
Clinical presentations that can respond well to OCF: headaches, migraine, TMJ, concussion, balance issues and vertigo, tethered oral tissues, neck pain, energetic deficiencies and metabolic syndromes, sore low back, continence challenges, vision difficulties, dental trauma , and much more.
