Dr Sutherland’s approach to treatment of the whole body using Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT) Part Two

Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 March 2018 

Location: Melbourne


The traditional BLT curriculum has been reviewed by Dr Julie Fendall and Dr Jill Headifen, who have studied BLT techniques with Dr Ann Wales. It will be presented in a new format consisting of two 2-day programs: Parts One and Two.

BLT Parts One and Two are stand-alone and complimentary courses that are open to all osteopaths. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills to enhance their practice. This includes:

  • Understanding the principles of balanced physiological motion (BLT/BMT, balanced fascial tension)
  • Enhancing knowledge of functional anatomy
  • Improving/refining palpation skills
  • Learning and practising new treatment approaches and techniques

The traditional 40-hour curriculum has been revised to accommodate a more flexible learning approach. There is a 3-day face-to-face component where the emphasis is on practical skill development. This is supported by online learning modules available before, during, and after the course to enable participants to engage with course material in a more individualised and paced way.

Still the same 4:1 student to tutor ratio at the tables and experienced teaching Faculty to enhance your learning experiences.
